021: Orlando Anime Day Wrap-up

Time to start re-stocking after Orlando Anime Day just about wiped me clean! I got to meet a lot of fun people, including a lot of the Central Florida Bronies, and had a good time. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take any pictures, because I was by myself and so busy the whole time, but the Orland Sentinel managed to take a bit of video [link here]!

Last night I listed Pyramid Head, Derpy, Jack Skellington, and a custom bead mosaic on Etsy, so feel free to take a look at that [link here]! I'm always open for comissions, so feel free to contact me about that as well! Well until next time everypony......

020: Chrome issues -___-

Firefox and my computer haven't been getting along very well, so I switched over to Chrome, which was another headache. :/ Chrome doesn't allow Blogger to load, so it's been looking like Blogger was down forever. But then, I had the bright idea to load up Blogger in Firefox and voila! It works again!

Annnyways! I finally got my Square in the mail, so if there's something you like at my booth and you don't have cash, no need to fret, I can take cards now! :) That brings me to my next point, I hope everyone is planning on going to Orlando Anime Day! It's only $3 to go and it goes to charity! What's more awesome than that? The day starts at 9:30AM and goes until 5:30. There's going to be anime, costumes, dealers, artists, and all sorts of fun stuff. So if you're a blog stalker, come by and introduce yourself. Chances I'll have the brightest table in the Artist's Alley! Here's some new stuff you can expect at my table:

Expect lots of pony stuff too! But on that note, it's back to the old square pin board! See you this weekend!

019: You've got a real problem all right, and a banjo is the only answer!

So, about this pony craze spreading across the world. I'm not sure what to say about it. I actually sat down to watch a few episodes and I even found myself enjoying them. Maybe I'm not to the point of calling myself a Brony yet, but I can definitely say, "A++ will watch again." At Florida Anime Experience, I kept getting complaints about not having Pony Sprites, so here they are, pony sprites and their Time Lapses! :D

Apple Jack:

Derpy Hooves:

Rainbow Dash:
Not able to find my Rainbow Dash Time Lapse!! :(

On that Hoofshell (Get it, bombshell? but with hoofs? Derp derp) Have a good night!

018: In my restless dreams, I see that town, Silent Hill.

You promised you'd take me there again some day, but you never did. Why not James, huh? Why not. Cause now I'm all alone and I left my wallet and I'm really hungry.

....I mean....what? In case you didn't know, Silent Hill and I go way back. When I was 8 years old playing the first game, I told my parents I was going to get a Silent Hill tattoo. Well now I'm going to be 23 in a month and I still don't have my tattoo. I still want it though....but I digress. I made a tribute to my childhood fandom. While Silent Hill 2 may be my 3rd favorite (Silent Hill 1 and Silent Hill 3 being first and second) Pyramid Head is one of my favorite characters. And without further adieu, I present to you, P.Hizzy, as I like to call him.

Also, while we're on the topic of horror (sort of) this was a gift for my friend Ivon's 30th Birthday:

And finally, this is a Tardis, it's bigger on the inside. :P

Stayed tuned, I'll have some ponies for you to look at soon!

017: For me…apples are like cigarettes and liquor for humans. If I’m deprived I go into withdrawals.

As you can tell, we're having a small obsession with Death Note right now. To the point where we're going to start working on Death Note costumes. It will be awesome, not going to give away any hints though. ;)

It looks like in the bead forecast, there's going to be a large shipment coming our way! It's strange, 60,000 seems like such a large number, but as much as we bead, it goes pretty quickly. It crazy to think some of the smaller sprites we make are still 1000+ beads. Sure doesn't feel like that when you're putting it together. Hmm. But I digress.

I have finally listed the Mustache Glasses over on Etsy. So if you're interested in those, feel free to take a look over there.  (Click the picture :D)
Like a sir!
Also, I have update those little pages on my blog. So get to know me, learn the next conventions I'll be attending, find out what I'm currently selling and commissioning, and check out some of the great artists I've gotten to know!

Also, I'm very ADHD when I write in this blog, so by this point you've most likely have come to the realization that I'm absolutely scatterbrained. But on that bombshell (Top Gear reference, hurr hurr), I'm wrapping this up. Have a good day internet worled!

016: All's Well That Ends Well

And on that note, I'm slowly recovering from this past weekend. Unfortunately, going through too many days without sleep really does take a toll on you. Overall, the weekend was great. I always prefer the crowds at smaller conventions than larger conventions. The artists I met were all fantastic:
Leila's Clay Creations: Facebook | Twitter | Etsy | DeviantArt
Lunar Sapphire Studio: Site | Facebook | DeviantArt
Dynamic Rex: Site | Facebook | DeviantArt | Twitter
Kikstar: Site | Facebook | Twitter
And so much of my stuff was sold, which I was beyond excited about. So thank you to everyone who made my first booth at an Artist's Alley more than successful. I was hoping to be able to make it out to Metrocon this year, but I waited to long to try and find a booth. I may go as a regular attendee, which will be just as fun. :D I was also hoping to set up shop at Anime Festival Orlando, but unfortunately, I'm considered more of a crafter than an artist, so I won't be allowed to have a booth there. I'll probably attend that one too though. Orlando Anime Day will most likely be the next one I'm able to make it out to as an Artist, so hooray for that!

Anyway, here's some pictures of stuff from the past weekend at Florida Anime Experience:

I was too busy hanging around the booth to take many pictures, but that's the important/silly stuff. Anyway that's all until next time.

015: We should do a photoshoot here!

Florida Anime Experience started yesterday and most of my neat stuff has already been sold! The good thing is, I'm up at 3AM to restock! Woo! The Artist Alley has had a steady flow, so there's been characters in and out all day. I'm not even talking about the cosplayers, hah =P! It's been fun and I'm thoroughly enjoying myself!

Be sure to check Crackle Byte out in the Artist Alley at Florida Anime Experience!

Also, this is what my title is referring to. If you've ever lived the cosplay life, this video related to you oh so well. It's pretty funny too.

014: Like a sir!

Indubitably, my good sir.

I saw a pair of perler glasses a while back and I decided to try and recreate them. I did them Wayfarer style and of course added the very sir like mustache. Chances are this will be the last one I ever make. Wire is such a pain to work with, especially when your left hand is all bandaged and burned. D: Anyway, this entry is brought to you by this dog. :3

013: Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight!

So even with my damaged fingers, I've been progressing much more than I figured I could. Even thought my Demon Hunter on Diablo is only level 38 and most of my friends are level 50+, I've been beading to the death! But I digress. Here's some things we've been working on for the last few days.

She is the one named Sailor Moon!

Triforce and Tetris block earrings

Hadouken!

And now to work on a bunch more stuff because I'm positive that we know have a booth at Florida Anime Experience. So their might be a lack of posting, perhaps maybe? Maybe this will be my break from beading. Maybe I'll just be playing Diablo the whole time. Who knows. :P

012: This was a triumph. I'm making a note here, huge sucess.

Due to an unfortunate accident with my iron, my left hand is going to be out of commission for a while. So it may slow down some of my bead work, but not my boyfriends, mwahaha. But before my hand went out, I made this!

Still Alive has been stuck in my head all day and it looks like it might just be the same for you reading this! Anyway, time to rest up my strong hand. =P

011: For the horde.....wait a minute, wrong game and faction.

I do apologize for the hiatus in posting up awesome bead stuff, but the release of Diablo III has captured my interests for the moment. To hold you over, here's the rest of the comic strip. Available in pieces or in it's entirety. Feel free to email me for details, everything is customizable.

010: Nyan nyan nyan nyan nyan~

This entry is going to be short and sweet, I'm a bit tired after hunting for beads, sewing supplies, and good BBQ. But, for lack of better words, Nyan nyan nyan nyan nyan.

Also, my cats love watching this video, so, I think this belongs here. But alas, our time must be cut short by the dreaded sleeping monster. So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye.

009: Thank you, but our princess is in another castle.

We've been famicom-ing ourselves to death over here. Splatterhouse, Kid Dracula, McMario, All Night Nippon, Doki Doki Panic, you name it, we've been staying up until 8am to play it. So you can guess, most of our inspiration as of late has been old school Japanese game related. This is what we have to show for it!

(Can also be made in 3d-how cool)

My boyfriend ironed both sides, we don't like the way it looks, never doing that again.

We <3 Goombas, except when they're stealing our stuff >_<

Rockman (AKA, Megaman) going "Pew pew pew!"

Sadako (Ringu) or Samara (Ring) crawling out of the TV to get you! Looks like you 7 days are up! Cool thing about this is that there is an NES on the top right of the tube and the beads that make up the screen glow! Also, below the Sadako piece, there's a video of the Morning Musume girls watching a clip from ringu. I laugh manically every time.....don't judge.

And now it's Mario and Yoshi's turn to go "Pew pew pew!"

Has our Famicom/NES/SNES/Super Famicom love overcome us? I do believe so. But admit it, you like it. Be prepared for some pretty awesome anime type stuff coming up soon!

008: You know what you like, you know what you want. So all you have to do is find something work related to that stuff.

The post title is a quote Kamikaze Girls, so you can bet that this is going to be all about the cute stuff! Everyone loves bows right? Well, mostly everyone. Okay, maybe like a quarter than if we want to be specific, but I digress. Last night, bow making madness ensued, the product, adorable girlyness to be had for all!

All will be for sale and are completely customizable, also, if you'd like "ribbons" to flow from the bottom like the previous bow I made, that can be done too! Might be experimenting with putting skulls in the center of bows too, shall be awesomeness~! Anyway, you keep reading, I keep beading =P.

007: The flow of time is always cruel.....

This entry is for the ladies. By that I mean I have cute perler hair bows that I'm working on now. Well, I retract my statement, this entry is for cross-dressers and those in touch with the feminine fashion sense. Regardless, these are the bows and they come in whatever color scheme you'd like!

Also, we also have some trinkets for the home available! Zelda coasters to protect your tables from those evil drinks who cause it so much harm. It also doubles as a little stand/art piece/conversation starter. So when you're not protecting the word from drink rings, you have a cute little 8 bit decoration!

Well, back to work it is for me! As always, I'm open for commission, so feel free to shoot me an email or you can follow me on Twitter or Facebook! Links are over to the right! :D

006: Prepare for trouble, make it double.

So, over here at Crackle Byte, we've been beading ourselves away. Here are some new things we've been working on in the last few days. :D

Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim

Jigglypuff from Pokemon

More Servbot keychains. My dog says, "Can I have one please?"

Well, back to the drawing board, or more like back to the pegboard. See you later Space Cowboy!

005: We're jumping onto white base, ahh.

So looks like Crackle Byte may be attending Florida Anime Experience from May 25th through the 27th as an artist in the Artist Alley. All sorts of magnets, jewelry, coasters, and just fun stuff will all be for sale to satisfy your nerdy hunger. In the mean time, I'll be working on lots of goodies to sell! Some of the characters you can expect are: Mario, Luigi, Peach, The Avengers, D*C Comic Super Heroes, and many many more. I bet you're excited!

(Also, Servbot keychains :3)

Hope to see you there, if not, there's always another conventions somewhere around the corner!

004: Come on, let's do the Mario!

Just a few things that have been sitting around the house that we're considering framing and hanging up, figured I'd do a bit of showing off. :D

Ferrari 328gts

Mudkip

Okay, this one needs a little bit of explaining. The idea behind this is that Peach was having a wild "romp" with some other video games characters and Mario is chasing Lolo through the entire comic strip.

I suppose you could say that comic is "Tarantino-ed." This is the last frame, but basically what sets up the whole comic. In this frame we have Mario, Peach, Lolo, Lonk and Megaman. :P

And last but no least, this is Dave Mustaine of Megadeth. It has since doubled in size since my boyfriend finally finished it, but I guess I never found a finished picture of it.

So, we're a pretty talented team as you could say. :P If you have any questions about commissions, feel free to email me at cracklebyte@gmail.com.

002: Follow me on Facebook!

Also, opinions on these earrings? Yes? No? Maybe? They're not hard to make and I think they're pretty cute. Just wanted to see some opinions on them though. If their positive I have many more ideas for wire jewelry. If not, then I guess I'm sticking to bead jewelry.

001: So you want to be a Pokemon Master....

Welcome to the first posting of Crackle Byte. Contained herein, are the creative musings of a nerdy insomniac. But then again, aren't we all nerdy insomniacs? What? Maybe not? Okay. -___-

I just listen my first three items on Etsy. They're all handmade and they're all made from Perler beads. Fear me, for I am the Perler bead Queen! They're all reasonably priced, seeing as the price of Perler beads have gone up exponentially (Curses!). They're still cheaper than going out to Tiffany's to buy your girlfriend a pair of diamond earrings that won't get her as many compliments are a set of Poke Ball earrings, I assure you.

If you have any suggestions and custom work you would like done (I can and will do but more intensive and larger items), shoot me an email at CrackleByte@gmail.com.
